Our Values
At Quartz Legal, our values are more than words — they’re the foundation of how we practice law and look after our clients. They shape every piece of advice we give and every action we take.
-
Integrity in every matter
We believe in doing the right thing, always. That means giving you frank, honest advice — even when it’s not the easiest answer. Integrity builds trust, and trust is what lasting client relationships are built on.
-
Responsive service
We understand that legal issues can be stressful and time-sensitive. We prioritise clear, timely communication to keep you informed at every stage. When you work with us, you’ll never feel left in the dark.
-
Commercial focus
The law doesn’t operate in a vacuum. We cut through jargon to give you advice that makes sense in the real world. Our goal is to help you make decisions that are legally sound, practical, and commercially sustainable.
-
Client-first approach
Every client is unique, and so are their goals. We take the time to understand what matters most to you, tailoring our advice and strategies to meet your needs. Your success is the measure of our success.
Our Promise
These values guide us in everything we do. They’re the reason our promise to you is simple:
Practical. Clear. Commercial.
With us, you can move forward with confidence, knowing that your legal team is firmly in your corner.
Meet Vanessa Sciortino
She founded Quartz Legal Qld in 2023 with a clear purpose: to create a practice that delivers top-tier legal services while valuing balance, wellbeing, and genuine client relationships.
She practices exclusively in property and business law, representing clients such as bodies corporate, on-site managers, developers, restaurateurs, and other business owners.
After being admitted to practice in January 2006, Vanessa worked across small suburban firms, boutique firms, and national firms, gaining extensive experience in preparing a range of contracts and agreements. Her diverse background means she approaches legal challenges with both precision and creativity.
Vanessa grew up in Brisbane, where she worked as a pharmacy assistant while in high school and law school. That experience instilled strong customer service and problem-solving skills, which she applies daily as a lawyer. She is committed to providing exceptional client service, implementing firm-wide policies to ensure timely, clear communication.
Known for her strong and determined personality, uncompromising standards, and out-of-the-box thinking, Vanessa approaches matters with a can-do attitude to achieve the best results. Becoming a trusted adviser to many clients over her career gave her the confidence to embark on this new chapter.
Vanessa is an active member of the UDIA Property and Community Management Committee, contributing to policy reviews and changes to Property and Body Corporate legislation. She is passionate about learning and sharing knowledge through presentations and speaking engagements.
We are proud members of ARAMA, QLS, PEXA, SCA, and the UDIA. Vanessa serves on the UDIA Property and Body Corporate Committee and the UDIA Gold Coast Branch, reflecting our commitment to shaping the future of the industry.
